What Exactly is ‘Energy’? Understanding the Building Block of All Creation
In the spiritual world, you might hear people talk about energy all the time, but it seems that nobody has a good explanation for what energy actually means. So it ends up being some vague concept that many spiritualists base their lives around, yet can’t explain what it is or how it works.
Energy, from a spiritual perspective, is a difficult concept to grasp. I by no means have all the answers, but here I’m going to break down this concept from my understanding so that spirituality at whole makes a little more sense to you.
What is energy within the context of spirituality?
Energy is the base building block of all existence itself, and everything that you’re experiencing is a manifestation of energy. Energy can be seen as an invisible property in which everything is created. This includes everything that you perceive and experience.
The truth of the matter is that nobody has a solid definition of what energy is. It’s an intangible, unobservable axis of our universe, but we don’t have the means to properly understand it. Can you tell me what time is, or what space is, or perhaps what matter is? All we know is that we can sense energy and everything has it.
Where does energy come from?
First, let’s get something straight. There are a few different forms of energy which are:
- Physical energy: What is recognized as energy scientifically, and is required for all things to create action
- Emotional energy: Refers to the energetic outlet of emotions, as emotions are energies too
- Spiritual energy: The metaphysical perspective of energy, which is an inherent property of existence
All these forms of energy are intertwined in some sense, but in this article, we’re focusing on spiritual energy, and the foundation of all matter/being/existence.
To understand where energy comes from, you need to understand that this universe is a manifestation of higher dimensions of experience. This universe, and everything within it is an expression of consciousness.
